EBRD acquires stake in Poland's Grupa Azoty

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD; London) has acquired a 5.75% stake in Grupa Azoty (Tarnów, Poland), the country’s largest producer of fertilizers and chemicals, for 296.4 million zlotych ($94.3 million). The investment follows the Polish government’s decision to continue with the privatization of the company and reduce its own stake.
