Dow and Ube Form Electrolytes JV

Dow Chemical and Ube Industries have agreed to form a joint venture to manufacture and market formulated electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries in energy storage applications. The first manufacturing facility is expected to be built at Dow’s Midland, MI site for startup in 2012, with plants in China and Europe to follow by 2015, Ube says....
