Claris Lifesciences forms joint venture with Japanese firms

Claris Lifesciences (Ahmedabad, India) says it has completed the transfer of its infusion business for India and emerging markets to Claris-Otsuka, a joint venture with Otsuka Pharmaceuticals Factory (Tokyo) and Mitsui & Co. Claris received 10.5 billion Indian rupees ($172.9 million) as part of the deal. Claris-Otsuka is valued at IR13.13 billion, Claris says.   The infusion business includes common solutions, anti-infectives, plasma volume expanders and nutrition therapies. Claris has transferred 2 plants to the joint venture in which Claris holds 20%...
