Clariant relocates Indian masterbatches unit; divestments impact 35% of sales

The board of directors of Clariant Chemicals (India) (CCIL; Mumbai) today approved a proposal to relocate the company’s masterbatches plant from Kolshet at Thane to the Renaissance industrial and warehousing complex at the Vashere village also in Thane region. The company announced earlier this year that it decided to sell the Kolshet land as the area was becoming increasingly residential.  The move will help Clariant India to improve its market presence and strengthen its position in India, the company says.  The new plant will become operational...
