Chemtura-Isagro JV sells herbicide business to Nihon Nohyaku

ISEM, a 50-50 joint venture between Chemtura Netherlands and Isagro (Milan), has announced the sale of its orthosulfamuron systemic herbicide to Nihon Nohyaku (Tokyo). The sale includes all the rights and assets related to the herbicide, which belongs to the sulfonylureas family. It controls paddy rice weeds, such as broadleaves and sedges. Orthosulfamuron has also recently been registered as ripener on sugarcane in Brazil. The sale of orthosulfamuron is consistent with the business strategy, pursued by Chemtura and Isagro, to refocus their resources...
