BASF extends offer period for the acquisition of Pronova BioPharma

BASF says it is extending, until 18 January 2013, the offer period for the company's acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Pronova BioPharma (Lysaker, Norway)—a pioneer in the fields of researching, developing, and manufacturing omega-3 fatty acids—for 12.50 Norwegian krone/share ($2.25), or NK4.84 billion, in cash. The offer remains subject to the terms and conditions set out in the initial voluntary public takeover offer document, published on 5 December 2012.  The offer is conditional on BASF...
