Arkema takes minority stake in Indian castor oil producer (Update)

Arkema has signed an agreement with Jayant Agro (Mumbai) to acquire a 25% stake in Ihsedu Agrochem (Mumbai), a subsidiary of Jayant Agro specializing in the production of castor oil, Arkema announced today. The joint venture aims to develop castor oil production to provide Arkema with long-term, secure, and competitive access to this raw material for use in the production of Arkema’s biosourced polyamides, the company says.
