Arkema Sells Tin Stabilizer Business to PMC

Arkema has confirmed previous reports that it will sell its tin stabilizer business. The company is divesting the operation to PMC Group (Mount Laurel, NJ), a producer of performance chemicals and plastics. The move is part of Arkema's refocusing on its core specialty businesses. The transaction is due to close this fall, subject to the works council's information and consultation processes in the Netherlands, where some of the assets are based, and the approval of the relevant antitrust authorities.
