People & Business :: M&A Arkema Completes PVC Exit; Kem One to Invest €400 Million2:33 PM MDT | July 6, 2012 | —Natasha Alperowicz Arkema says it has finalized the previously announced divestment of its vinyl products activities to the Klesch Group (Geneva). The newly created vinyls company is called Kem One. Arkema announced last November that it intended to dispose of its vinyls activities as a part of its refocusing toward specialty chemicals. Kem One, headquartered in Lyon, France, has pro forma annual sales of about €1 billion ($1.3 billion) and is Europe’s third-largest producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), trailing Ineos and SolVin.
