Altana completes Rockwood rheology acquisition

Altana has completed the $635-million acquisition of Rockwood’s rheology additives business, the company says. The deal, which was announced in July, adds 350 employees and four new production sites to Altana. Rheology additives are used in coatings, construction, and personal-care applications, among others.
