Altana acquires DSM's polypropylene wax emulsion business

Altana (Wesel, Germany) says it has acquired DSM's polypropylene wax emulsions business. The deal includes technology and customer-specific know-how, Altana says. The products can be used to coat glass fibers in the production of composites and are typically used in the construction industry and the automotive market, according to Altana. Financial details have not been disclosed. "This acquisition is another consistent step along our path of growth," says Matthias Wolfgruber, CEO of Altana.
