Acron Concedes Defeat, Will Become Minority Shareholder in Tarnów

Acron (Velikiy Novgorod, Russia) said on Tuesday that it will buy all of the shares that investors agreed to sell in Poland’s leading chemicals' producer, Azoty Tarnów, in response to Acron’s bid to acquire 66% in the company. The Polish Treasury, following Acron’s bid, announced that it intends to merge Tarnów with local competitor Pulawy, effectively blocking the Russian takeover.
