People & Business :: Green Issues Tenaska Selects Fluor Carbon Capture Technology8:52 AM MDT | July 26, 2010 | Alex Scott Tenaska, an energy company, says it has selected Fluor’s Econamine FG Plussm carbon capture technology for use in its Tenaska Trailblazer Energy Center (Sweetwater, TX), which is currently under development. Financial details were not disclosed. Econamine FG Plussm is an amine-based technology for large-scale, post-combustion CO2 capture. The technology is among the first to remove CO2 from high oxygen content flue gases. Trailblazer will apply the technology in a 600-megawatt electricity-generating plant fueled by pulverized coal.
