People & Business :: Green Issues Solvay and Air Liquide Form Global Fluorine Gas JV6:28 PM MST | January 16, 2012 | Alex Scott Solvay and Air Liquide have entered into an agreement to create a global fluorine (F2) gas production joint venture. The business will make F2 onsite for manufacturers of flat panel display and silicon thin film photovoltaic products. F2 is used as a cleaning gas during the manufacture of the above electronic products. The new organization will be located in Belgium.
