Mitsubishi, Foster Wheeler Selected for U.K. CCS Project Design

A consortium, featuring Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI; Tokyo) and Foster Wheeler’s Global Engineering and Construction Group has been selected by power company E.ON to undertake the front-end engineering design (FEED) for a post-combustion carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and compression plant at Medway, U.K.   The carbon capture and storage (CCS) project would be part of a planned 800 Mw supercritical coal-fired power station that would replace an existing coal-fired power plant, named Kingsnorth Power Station.   The CO2 capture plant will be...
