People & Business :: Green Issues India to Develop ‘Solar Cities’2:14 AM MDT | September 5, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (New Delhi) says it is implementing a program to develop solar cities, which aims to reduce a minimum of 10% of the projected demand of conventional energy of the city through renewable energy installations and energy efficiency measures. Nearly 60 cities are being proposed to be developed as solar cities including four model solar cities and 10 pilot solar cities.
