Green technology process center inaugurated at Leuna, Germany

The Fraunhofer Center for Chemical-Biotechnological Processes (CBP) was officially inaugurated by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday at Leuna, Germany. The CBP’s task is to scale up innovative biotechnological and chemical processes from pilot to industrial-scale, enabling companies to manufacture basic chemical products from renewable raw materials.
