EU-wide restriction on use of neonicotinoids to be in force from 1 December

The European Commission has adopted a restriction on the use of 3 neonicotinoids that have been associated in recent years with a decline in the number and health of honeybees. The restriction will enter into force 1 December and will be reviewed as soon as new information is available and, at the latest, within 2 years.
