EU Member States Identify Seven New Substances of Very High Concern

The European Union (EU) Member State Committee (MSC) has identified seven new substances of very high concern (SVHC) that are to be further evaluated for their potential harm to human health and the environment. The seven chemicals will be added to the candidate list of substances that will be evaluated according to procedures laid out in the authorization phase of the EU’s Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program.
