People & Business :: Green Issues DuPont, 3M Battery Project Receives DOE Grant3:05 PM MDT | July 29, 2010 | Vincent Valk A project involving DuPont, 3M, auto parts maker Bosch (Stuttgart, Germany), and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley, CA) has received a $1.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE; Washington) to fund energy storage research. The Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) grant will fund research into a battery system that would enable energy and electricity to be stored and released according to demand.
