People & Business :: Green Issues DSM to Buy Controlling Stake in Taiwan Coatings Firm AGI4:57 AM MST | December 10, 2010 | Alex Scott DSM has disclosed plans to acquire 51% of AGI Corporation (AGI; Taipei, Taiwan), a producer of ultraviolet, curable resins and coatings. DSM estimates the deal will cost it about $64 million. The company says it will make the acquisition through a subscription for shares that are to be newly issued, along with a public tender offer. The proposed acquisition is subject to AGI corporate approvals and to regulatory and other customary conditions, approvals and notifications, DSM says.
