DuPont, Praxair, and Air Products saw profits of $402 million, $340 million, and $252 million, respectively, in the final quarter of last year. U.S. specialties firms also saw profits rebound, with Ashland swinging to a profit and Sherwin-Williams posting a 30% rise in income.
