Velocys' commercial GTL plant in Oklahoma to go ahead

Velocys (Oxford, UK), a technology innovator for smaller scale gas-to-liquids (GTL), has made the final investment decision and will proceed with construction of a commercial GTL plant using its technology at the East Oak landfill site in Oklahoma, the company announced today.  The project is being funded by a joint venture between Waste Management (Houston), NRG Energy (Princeton, NJ), Ventech Engineers International (Pasadena, TX) and Velocys, formed to develop a series of GTL plants in the United States and other select geographies, the company says...
