VCI calls for a reduction in energy cost, not a redistribution

Germany's chemical industry association VCI (Frankfurt) says it is 'concerned' about discussions to reform the country's renewable energy law (EEG), as part of negotiations to form a new Federal coalition government. According to the information available, the coalition government would only redistribute the special fees for EEG, says VCI. The organization says that energy costs in Germany will therefore increase again in the coming year.
