TransCanada breaks ground on gas pipeline in Mexico

TransCanada (Calgary, AB) broke ground, on 10 October, on the 530-kilometer Topolobampo–El Encino stretch of Mexico's 1,780-kilometer north-northwest natural gas pipeline, the country's Ministry of Energy (Mexico City) says. The project will provide Mexico's national gas pipeline network with 1.6 billion cubic ft/day of additional capacity once the various stretches start operating. The project is estimated to require an investment of about $1 billion;  the pipeline is scheduled to be fully in service in the third quarter of 2016. In November...
