People & Business :: Energy and Feedstocks Shell and Exxon Complete Gas Link9:46 AM MDT | October 22, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Shell and ExxonMobil say they have completed a pipeline linking the Norwegian and U.K. natural gas pipeline networks in the North Sea, enabling the supply of wet gas from Norway’s Statfjord field to the U.K. The gas will be processed at onshore facilities operated by Shell and ExxonMobil in the U.K., resulting in dry gas, ethane, and liquefied petroleum gas. Ethane will be consumed at ExxonMobil’s 830,000-m.t./year ethylene plant at Mossmorran, U.K., to which Shell has the rights to 50% of the output. Shell and ExxonMobil launched a project earlier...
