Shale Gas to Boost Chemical Industry Competitiveness

The successful increase of shale gas production has dramatically transformed the outlook for both U.S. energy supplies and the petrochemical industry, according to a new study by IHS Global Insight. Chemicals production in particular stands to benefit from an extended period of low natural gas prices, as it uses natural gas as a fuel source and feedstock, the report says....
