Report: Fraction of renewable energy could be doubled

The fraction of renewable energy in the global energy mix could be increased to 30% or more by 2030, double the level today, the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena; Abu Dhabi) says in a report, "REmap 2030: A renewable energy roadmap.” This figure is the result of an analysis of 26 countries, which between them account for 75% of world energy consumption.
