Petronet LNG takes first delivery at Kochi, FACT and Bharat Petroleum to benefit

Petronet LNG (New Delhi) says that on Tuesday it received an inaugural cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at its new terminal at Kochi, India. The delivery came from RasGas in Qatar, a reliable supplier and world leader in LNG. It already supplies 7.5 million m.t./year of LNG to Petronet at its Dahej terminal. The vessel is expected to be berthed at the Petronet jetty at Kochi until the terminal and its storage tanks are cooled to cryogenic temperatures. “This one-time operation is a slow and meticulous process and would take 6-7 days to complete,”...
