Petronas, YPF to develop uncoventional hydrocarbons in Argentina

Petronas (Kuala Lumpur) and Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales (YPF; Buenos Aires) have signed an agreement covering the development of unconventional hydrocarbons in Neuquén Province, Argentina, YPF says. The project requires a total investment of $550 million, with Petronas providing about $475 million. The companies will jointly develop a block with a surface area of about 187 sq kilometers. YPF will operate the area and assign a 50% exploitation concession on the block. A pilot project will begin once the final paperwork comes through and conditions...
