Methes Energies acquires biomass-to-syngas technology assets

Methes Energies (Las Vegas) has signed a letter of intent to acquire the assets of OTC Energy Technologies (OTC; Burlington, ON), including all of OTC's technologies and knowhow related to the conversion of several types of biomass into a chemical-quality synthesis gas (syngas) that can be converted into renewable alcohols such as ethanol and methanol, and renewable hydrocarbons such as jet fuel and gasoline, Methes announced today.
