People & Business :: Energy and Feedstocks Linde to Codevelop CCS Project in U.K.11:09 AM MST | January 25, 2012 | Alex Scott BOC, a subsidiary of Linde, has been brought in as a technology partner to codevelop a carbon capture and storage (CCS) system at the Drax coal fired power station (Selby, U.K.). BOC joins energy firm Drax (Selby) and energy infrastructure company Alstom (London) on the project. The Drax plant is the largest coal-fired power station in the U.K. with a production capacity of just under 4,000 MW. The facility in 2010 generated 24 million m.t. of carbon dioxide.
