People & Business :: Energy and Feedstocks IHS WPC 2012: Outlook Bright for U.S. Natural Gas12:45 PM MDT | March 29, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley in Houston The outlook for the U.S. domestic natural gas supply continues to strengthen as more natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs) are produced from shale plays around the country. “The natural gas market is currently oversupplied,” Ken Otto, senior v.p. at Purvin & Gertz, told attendees at IHS Chemical’s World Petrochemical Conference, currently being held in Houston. “NGL production is growing rapidly in the U.S., much more rapidly than we could foresee a few years ago.
