People & Business :: Energy and Feedstocks House-Senate Energy Policy Debate Loses Steam1:56 PM MDT | September 14, 2007 | Kara Sissell The momentum behind a comprehensive energy bill appears to be waning as federal spending measures and Iraq policy take precedence. Members of Congress returned to work last week but held only informal staff meetings on energy policy issues, sources say. The House passed an energy bill last month that had little in common with the Senate energy bill passed in June (CW, Aug. 15/22, p. 9). Bingaman: No word on conference date. House and Senate leaders have said energy bill passage is one of their top priorities, but so far no plans for a House-Senate conference have...
