Halliburton Launches Fracking Chemicals Website

Halliburton, which was subpoenaed by EPA last week for its refusal to voluntarily disclose chemicals used in hydraulic fracking, has launched a new website identifying the chemicals. The website lists the chemicals but does not disclose their concentrations in various fracking solutions or in which wells they have been used. Hydraulic fracking is a process used for shale gas extraction, and has come under fire in the northeastern U.S.'s Marcellus Shale region for possibly polluting drinking water.
