Green Biologics closes £15.4-million financing round, to fund US renewable chemical project

Green Biologics (Abingdon, UK), has closed a £15.4-million ($25.2 million) series B financing round led by venture capital firm Sofinnova Partners (Paris) and Swire Group (London), Green Biologics announced. The funding will be used by Green Biologics to finance the eventual launch of its first commercial production facility in the United States, due to take place in 2016. Follow-on investments were also made by companies including Capricorn Venture Partners (Leuven, Belgium), Oxford Capital Partners (Oxford, UK), and Morningside Ventures (Hong Kong). Green...
