Government report: Building UK's shale industry could create $55-billion supply chain

Establishing a shale gas industry in the United Kingdom would provide a huge boost to the UK economy, according to an official report, published today. Shale gas could create an onshore supply chain market for equipment, services, and skills across a number of industry sectors worth up to £33 billion ($55 billion) by 2032, creating more than 64,000 jobs at peak employment, says the report, prepared by EY (London) and published by trade body United Kingdom Onshore Operators Group (London).
