Germany drafts reform of renewable energy act

Germany has drafted a reform of the renewable energy act (EEG) after months of wrangling. The reform is seen as a success for the country’s industry, which successfully avoided any additional financial burden. “The result is an important political success for Germany as a location for the chemical industry,” says Utz Tillmann, managing director of industry trade association VCI (Frankfurt).
