Foster Wheeler awarded study to upgrade Statoil's LNG plant

Foster Wheeler announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Statoil (Stavanger, Norway) to perform a study for the Snøhvit improvement project 2 at Melkøya, 450 km north of the Arctic Circle in Norway. Foster Wheeler will define long-term solutions to achieve the Snøhvit partnership’s objectives of increasing the operating performance of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility and increasing the capacity and feed gas flexibility of the plant. The concept study is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2014...
