Evonik to install wind turbine at Antwerp site

Evonik Industries and EDF Luminus (Brussels) are installing a Repower wind turbine at Evonik's Antwerp site, Evonik says. Preparations for construction are underway, and construction work is due to start by June. The mast is to be erected and the blades mounted in August. The wind turbine is scheduled to be operational by October. The turbine, rated at 3.4 megawatts, will supply 8,000 megawatt hour of renewable energy per year, equivalent to 3% of Evonik's total consumption.
