Enterprise and Chesapeake Partner to Pipe NGLs from the Northeast to the Gulf Coast

Enterprise Products Partners and Chesapeake Energy say they have entered into a long-term contract for Chesapeake to anchor Enterprise's proposed ethane pipeline from the Marcellus and Utica shale regions in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio to the U.S. Gulf Coast.   The proposed pipeline will be about 1,230-miles long and have an initial capacity of 125,000 bpd of ethane, and could be quickly expanded through a combination of additional pumping horsepower and pipeline looping.
