DSM Invests in Wind Propulsion Firm SkySails

DSM Venturing, the corporate venturing arm of DSM, says it has made an investment in SkySails (Hamburg, Germany), a firm making automated towing kites for ships. DSM says the move is fully in line with its strategic commitment to sustainability, innovation and partnerships.   Financial details have not been disclosed. DSM’s investment represents a part of a round of financing by SkySails to raise €15 million ($20.4 million).
