Chevron, ExxonMobil Shareholders Vote on Fracking Resolutions

Shareholder advocacy groups have asked shareholders in two major oil firms resolutions to vote on proposals requiring the firms report the financial and environmental risks of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. The resolutions, submitted by advocacy group As You Sow (San Francisco), were approved by 41% of Chevron’s shareholders and 21% of ExxonMobil shareholders.
