Biofuel: Market Conditions Tougher on Both Sides of the Atlantic?

There are indications that the market pressure for biofuel manufacturers on both sides of the Atlantic may be increasing. Ensus (Wilton), the owner of Europe’s largest biofuels refinery, a £300 million ($488 million) facility at Wilton, U.K., this week disclosed that it will temporarily close its facility. Also this week, in the U.S., by order of a Louisiana bankruptcy court, South Louisiana Ethanol LLC.’s complete ethanol processing facility at Jesuit Bend, LA is up for auction.
