Battery Technology Market to be Worth $11 Billion in 2014

The global market for large and advanced battery technologies was worth an estimated $8.2 billion in 2009 and will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 6% to almost $11 billion in 2014, according to the findings of a report by BCC Research (Wellesley, MA). The largest segment of the market relates to batteries for advanced portable products such as laptop computers, portable hand tools and lawn care batteries.
