Argentina to increase biodiesel blend rate next year

Argentina will raise the blend rate for biodiesel from 8% to 10%, effective next year, the Ministry of Agriculture (Buenos Aires) has announced. The blend rate will increase from 8% to 9% on 1 January 2014 and to 10% on 1 February 2014. Argentina's decision follows a move by the European Union to impose hefty antidumping duties on biodiesel imports originating in Argentina and Indonesia.
