People & Business :: Energy and Feedstocks Pemex Files Another NGL Smuggling Suit, Names Shell and ConocoPhillips as Illegal Recipients10:44 AM MDT | April 12, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Pemex, Mexico’s state-run oil company, has filed a new lawsuit against a dozen oil companies—including units of Royal Dutch Shell and ConocoPhillips—alleging they sold fuel stolen by drug gangs. The company filed a nearly identical lawsuit against BASF in 2010, claiming the company purchased stolen natural gas liquids (NGLs) and condensate from Mexican thieves. Pemex filed the new complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, after a judge ruled Pemex could not add additional companies to the original 2010...
