US start-up produces biobased BTX at kilogram scale

Anellotech (Pearl River, NY), a technology-based company focused on production of low-cost, green petrochemicals, is making available kilogram-scale quantities of green benzene, toluene, and xylenes (BTX) to partners for downstream development, the company has announced. Anellotech says its proprietary single-step catalytic fast pyrolysis (CFP) technology enables biomass to be converted in a fluidized-bed reactor into BTX.
