Solazyme expands JDA with Mitsui, signs off-take agreement with Sasol

Algal oils producer Solazyme (San Francisco) announced that its joint development agreement (JDA)  with Mitsui has been expanded to include high erucic oil. The deal builds upon a $20-million, multi-year JDA Solazyme and Mitsui signed in February for myristic oil.  Solazyme also announced that it has signed a separate, commercial supply agreement with Sasol Olefins & Surfactants GmbH (Sasol O&S), for algal oil rich in erucic acid (C22:1).
