Raízen-Iogen JV breaks ground on cellulosic ethanol facility in Brazil

Raízen (São Paulo) has broken ground on a cellulosic ethanol facility in Brazil, the company has announced. The second-generation ethanol plant is a 50-50 joint venture between Raízen and Iogen Corp. (Ottawa, ON). The plant is being built at Piracicaba, São Paolo State, and will have a capacity of 40 million liters/year of ethanol.
